Xion Audio Player
Published on February 21, 2007 By IRaidedTheFridge In WinCustomize Talk

I've been using xion audio player for awhile now, ( http://xion.r2.com.au/ )and I really wish wincustomize would make a section for it. The cool thing about it is that it is amazingly easy to skin since it takes raw .psd files, and creates the skin. All you have to do is name the layer with the play button "play", etc. Here's a skin i recently made for it:

//Edited by moderator: Moved this to the General forum. It will get more exposure there.

It all becomes clear now Carl.

I like how this player installs new skins, just drop the zip with the Ps file onto the player and it switches.

Looks like I can finally do my analog vu meters with this.
It'll be huge,it'll suck cpu cycles...clog the screen!I dont care...they will finally work.

haha Actually xion usually doesn't use above 3% of your CPU unless you have some crazy massive skin!

I'm loving it so far.

So what's the actual criteria for adding a new section in wincustomize.com? Xion would be a nice add since the whole thing was literally made to be skinned!

So what's the actual criteria for adding a new section in wincustomize.com?

The app needs to be popular, alive, and thus prominent, really.

I think the skinning 'method' makes it a contender....[and the 'au' in the addy doesn't hurt....wink]...

You mean like your Overdrive skin? That uses over 40% cpu on my system   Anyway I thought I'd add my (djinn2) support. Put Xion on Wincustomize I say!

I agree with the 'au' part I'd love to see a section here for Xion. I'd even have something to contribute to the section

Edit: Pfffttt... I broke the quote...

{Edit: I fixed it - the mngt  )

Hey now... the skin is called overdrive... I mean if it didn't eat your CPU for lunch, I'd feel dissapointed. haha

So who has the power to add sections 'round here?

So who has the power to add sections 'round here?

It's actually ultimately a social-pressure thing.

First people propose the addition...then there's a ground-swell....combined with a little deft investigation of practicality and interest in skinning it and in using it/them.

Followed by much begging and pleading....spot of bribery, coercion, threats and finally the odd horse-head-in-the-bed moment....

....et voila!....
